Denver International Airport (DEN)
Facilities and Services

(Denver, Colorado - CO, USA)

Situated in Denver International Airport (DEN) are all of the facilities that today's traveler has grown to expect, based within its one main terminal building and three concourse areas (A, B and C). The Jeppesen Terminal is split into east and west sides, with different levels for check-in and ticketing, passenger pickup and ground transportation links.

The terminal building At Denver International features numerous elevators, escalators, moving walkways, a pedestrian bridge and a regular underground train. The train journey traveling from the farthest concourse to the main Jeppesen Terminal takes no more than five minutes.

Onsite facilities at DEN include an Islamic prayer hall, Interfaith chapel, massages (table or chair), relief area for pets, battery charging stations, 24-hour restrooms near all gates and on all levels of the Jeppesen Terminal, and smoking lounges (Aviator's Club, Mesa Verde and Smokin' Bear Lodge). If you are forced to leave something behind, then you can now send it back home by using the Airport Mailers service.

Airport Information Desks

Tel: +1 303 342 2000
Information desks at Denver Airport are situated in the main terminal building, in concourse areas A, B and C, as well as Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal. These desks are open daily, between 06:00 and 22:00. 'Hospitality Ambassadors' (community volunteers) are also on hand and easy to spot, since they all wear white cowboy hats. These staff are on hand to help you navigate your way through the site smoothly and will always be happy to answer your questions.

Shops, Duty-Free and Retail Outlets

Within Denver Airport are some 60 shops spread around the terminals, meaning that those with time on their hands can certainly shop 'til they drop. Always popular in the Jeppensen Terminal is the Airport Baggage Center, Amore Fiori Flowers, Hudson News, Images of Nature (photographic art gallery), Newsstand and Way Out West, where you can pick up some unusual Western and Southwestern themed souvenirs. Within the Center Core area, notable stores include the Body Shop, Brookstone, Connections Made EZ, Denver Pizzazz, Earth Spirit, First Class Baggage, Hudson Booksellers, InMotion Entertainment, Mosaic and Spirit of the Red Horse. Duty free stores are located within the Center Core (Liberty Tax Free) and close to gate B39 (Duty Free).

Bars, Cafés and Restaurants

Roughly 70 different eateries present themselves to hungry passengers, often being located in and around the Center Core and ranging from simple coffee shops, snack kiosks, bars and ice cream parlors, to fast-food takeaways and fine dining restaurants and steakhouses. Choose between Burger King, the Cantina Grill (Mexican), the Denver ChopHouse, Domino's Pizza, KFC, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Panda Express (Asian), Quiznos Sub and Wolfgang Puck (gourmet pizzas). For a cappuccino and a cake, the Caribou Coffee, the CofTea Shop, the Coffee Beanery, the Dazbog Coffee and Starbucks all vie for your business. If you are looking for a place to relax, enjoy an imported beer or two, and some freshly grilled American-style food, then the Colorado Sports Bars (next to gate B30) beckons.

Currency Exchange, Communications and Banking Facilities

If you need to exchange some foreign currency, then head to Level 5 of the Jeppesen Terminal, where a busy branch of World Wide Money Exchange is situated, carrying more than 85 different foreign currencies in stock. Here you can also arrange travelers checks, travel insurance and even Colorado lottery tickets. Wide Money Exchange is open Monday to Saturday, from 06:00 to 20:00, and again on Sundays, between 07:00 and 20:00. Credit cards accepted here include American Express, Discover, MasterCard and Visa.

Business and Conference Facilities

The resident Business Services Center is to be found on the B Gates Mezzanine Level. This is the place to come if you are in need of fax machines and photocopiers, or just simply a quiet spot to plug in your laptop and get on with some work while you wait patiently for your flight. Of note, Wi-Fi Internet access is now available all through the Jeppesen Terminal (gates A, B and C).

Disabled Facilities

Disabled travelers visiting DEN will be able to make use of all the standard facilities expected, namely adapted toilets, wheelchair-friendly shuttles, phones for peoples suffering with hearing difficulties and curbside assistance where required.
